The Men's Ministry is made up of the men in our congregation and directed by a group of men which we call the Men's Board. The purpose of this ministry is to provide a vehicle in which men may give themselves in fellowship and service as read in the Word of God. (Isaiah 32:2-4, Matthew 5:14-16 and Hebrews 6:9-12).
The vision of this ministry is supportive of our Pastor's vision, which is to equip and stabilize believers. We endeavor to incorporate these principles through our interaction with one another and the lost. Maturing requires action after first gaining insight and then the fulfillment realized during and after ministry. God's Word in action as well as our confession provides the channel in us to complete this.
Current activities of the Men's Ministry are the Men's Breakfast on the 2nd Saturday of each month, the Monday Night Men's Fellowship on the 3rd Monday of each month. We also have a Men's Retreat and a Promise Keepers Convention at least once a year. Among those activities which were mentioned we do other more social activities, i.e.; camping, skiing and paintball.
Goals of this ministry is to ever increase to effect change in our community, extending ourselves to the many need in our church body as well as outside the walls of the church. This is done in many ways helping those that have need of our labor, ministering to the friendless and lost, clothing and feeding the hungry (James 1:27). Opportunities are sought to reach out to other churches whenever possible to develop our fellowship with them as well.
